Interesting couple of days with a slightly embarrassing twist but good outcome. After bit of a scramble I managed to head off done the road on the first leg of the Lombardy trip. Met up with the better half at Highland Wholefoods to pick up Son No 1’s scuba diving kit. They had inadvertently gone to Inverness in the back of the car. Of course when I stopped for fuel on the way out the Filling Station was down, easily sorted and off we went.
After a very uneventful trip South, I arrived at my destination only to find out that I had not read the last email all the way through and arrived a day early. But all was well and a fine evening was had with much discussed. Today I was so glad I had come early and Steve and Mel did not seem mind.
Mobile phone purchase first, completed, but nothing is simple down here and it was back to the shop for another SIM card. Meant several calls to the Ninewells library delaying the trip east. When I had come away from the phone shop second time around passed an extremely good busker playing the accordion and dropped a coin in, got more pleasure out of that than buying the phone which will be a necessary nuisance. So east to see Ruairidh and another successful arrival, all this without satnav. Down to the”crack den” flat, not his but a description of the neighbours. He had his bike tyres slashed just leaving it in the hallway…..took it really well, laughing actually and just keeps the bike in the flat and goes on to eBay for replacements. Knows that negotiations are out of the question. End result is he does not spend much time there and is so much cheaper than Halls. So it was off down to tithe Discovery and a fine afternoon we had.
Took R through to Perth as he headed off to Glasgow for what sounded like a dangerous meeting of west coast boys. Back at the house it was a fabulous tea of soup, pizza, prawns and crumble. Early start in the morning so soon to bed. Apologies for slightly different layout as first from the new iPad.

Spent some time in Dundee at college, scary place for a Perth boy 🙂
