A view on Fishing,Community and Life on the NW coast of Scotland

Trident for Tourists

Not only is Applecross on the NC500, has exquisite local seafood, a welcome second to none, stunning scenery and backdrop but it also has our very own Tridents. This according to Argyll and Bute Council and Mr Mundell MP is the ultimate visitor attraction. Personally I abhor these insane WMDs which look so out-of-place on our beautiful coastal backdrop.

You’re right, Ali. Have seen them in your area. Always disturbing and very jarring.

  2. The brochure was prepared for Royal Navy service personnel, the sort of people who work on and around submarines and are comfortable with them (the equivalent of having a picture of a fishing boat on a brochure for fisherman or marine engineers). It was not for tourists or to show “visitor attractions”.

Who knew the man had an imagination? Suppose being buzzed at Salochy on Loch Lomond by Tornado jets practicing low flying over water fits that same exciting paradigm? Or stumbling across one of the “warrior” exercises at Nedd years ago…
