A view on Fishing,Community and Life on the NW coast of Scotland

It’s dark, stormy

and now have to find questions for the Xmas Quiz for tonight. Barbara

has mostly gone through

and Conor is approaching from the west.

Winter has arrived and there is a definite fresh feel in the air.

The dire warnings did not appear in full force although the islands did get a bit of a battering. There was a good hour when the wind was up and the rollers were coming in the Bay. Dogs love it, especially Dougal,

after giving the turnstones a wee bit of exercise. It is not dry either and the hydro churning away.

Just back from the Turbine House holding the torch for Ewen as he changed a couple of breakers on the Heat Dump. Short post as have to finish this quiz and pick up the tree, so now only to wish every one a Happy and more importantly, a Peaceful, Christmas.

  1. Merry Christmas to you Ali

  2. Applecross has had a place in my heart for many years. I always wonder how things are there when heavy weather is forecast. Good to know the community is OK.

Merry Christmas and a happy and healthy 2017.

Glad that Barbara wasn’t so severe. The close isobars on the TV weather map looked pretty fearsome! Happy Christmas!

Cheers Ian, Conor was slightly worse for here. There was a bit more wind and white water in the Bay yesterday. All the best for the next year.
