A view on Fishing,Community and Life on the NW coast of Scotland

Just a very short time restricted post, (a catch up tomorrow) before I make my way up the road for a shift at the Inn. Busy few days not fishing, gathering wood and visiting the turbine site plus trips over the Hill.

The rain was heavy and prolonged last night and I went up the new Ali Bruce path to see how it looked at the Intake. And like Sunart it was nothing short of exciting. got a real buzz from the water pouring over the dam and through the gate,

although Steve was wanting a dry pipe to weld the plastic onto the iron pipe at the top of the field. The concreting of the turbine house is almost complete with the builders coming in tomorrow. just a load of sand to come in and they will be off and running.

It takes a wee moment to sit down and look over the Sound to realise just what is happening here. How much work has gone into the project and how close we are to completion. It is a wee slightly overwhelming moment.
