A view on Fishing,Community and Life on the NW coast of Scotland

Some posts just write themselves. This was initiated by Alison informing sonNo3 that his postal vote had arrived. Dai is our Welsh postie and once was late on an orienteering course. It was announced he was “missing presumed Welsh”. Son No3 may be heading for a hospital near you and his bedside manner may take some getting used to Not sure where Smithie is heading , don’t think he knows himself.

Ruairidh Macleod -your ballot paper is in the post today. (Posted by Alison to son No3)

Ruairidh Macleod; I’m voting UKIP again

Alison Macleod; I’ll have to ambush Dai as he comes to collect the mail then!

Deb Carr; Good lad!!!!

Andrew Smith; Ruairidh, we are voting UKIP because Big Nigel would be decent chat over a beer.

Ruairidh Macleod; Yes Andrew Smith he’s our kind of guy. Also, foreign people put me on edge; I need more nuclear missiles to keep me safe; I don’t like paying tax; I don’t believe climate change is even a thing and I’ve really begun to wonder what poor people really contribute to society anyway

Alison Macleod;Since when were you not a “poor person” Ruairidh Macleod?

Andrew Smith; My answer to Nigel is : The Pagans in Dornie and Balmacara put me on edge. Nuclear warfare is like two people standing in a bath – one with 3 hair dryers, one with 5. My Dad would have had to start saving around the time of the Reformation to earn as much as some people make in a year, but they pay a lower percentage of tax than him. Just because it rains in London occasionally, it doesn’t mean that ice doesn’t melt in the Arctic.

But poverty is good. I need people to throw my bronze coins at when I’m in Glasgow.

Ruairidh Macleod; haha excellent but don’t forget the immigrants with HIV clogging up the NHS. The other day I had to queue for for 5 hours behind aids riddled refugees just to buy a cream egg in the hospital tuck shop!

Ruairidh Macleod; and Alison Macleod I’m very affluent. I went to the finest boarding school in the North West Highlands and my family has a boat and a spaniel.*

The “boarding school” is Plockton Hostel, the “boat” is the Varuna and Dougal of course is the “spaniel”. Not that convinced about the affluence.
