A view on Fishing,Community and Life on the NW coast of Scotland

A Vintage Sunday Lunch.

A quieter Sunday lunch even although the weather was holding up. A vintage rally was expected from Kyle.

They had been staying there for the last three days and after going round Skye yesterday they made it over the Hill to us for lunch.

They came in ones and twos as some came round the coast and back over the Hill. Austin 7s are almost always amongst them

and the one that caught the imagination was the Chrysler.

Just looks the way it should and you sort of expected a running board and Pretty Boy Floyd hanging on to the outside of the car as it rolled into town.

The others although smart enough did not come up to this.

With the Easter Holidays over it was back to normal numbers with the quiet spell in the afternoon easy to cope with and as I was heading off Jack decided that glass could be treated like plastic and the end result was a two hour operation putting some tendons back together yesterday. The youth of today. After checking the Inn was staffed up went home to take the dogs out and have a wee repose above the moorings watching the sun across the rocks at the entrance to the moorings.

Later as I was doing the Community Council minutes noticed the post sunset sky

and nipped out for a look.

  1. Absolutely stunning photos

  2. Fine vehicles – not sure I would rely on those old brakes on the pass.

They did well to come over and all seems happy with their vehicles. Today took a shot of a lamborghini sitting outside the Inn as I was landing the prawns. Looked low slung for the roads.
