A view on Fishing,Community and Life on the NW coast of Scotland

Colours in the Rain

Back on thursday, taking the van up the road and the dogs as well, meant a walk around the Big House. With the German calendars posted and the claim witnessed, rain still teeming down although a bit more sheltered from the southerly wind I went for a wee wander. Took the camera just in case but did not expect to take it out at all. Pleasantly surprised as even in the gloom the colours are still vibrant.

Even when it should be over new life keeps struggling on.

It has been perfect conditions for lots of fungi growth.

I eventually made my way up the closed Roes Walk,

saw where the foresters have made their way down to meet it before heading back round to the Walled Garden again. Colours at the back of the Garden are still on the trees

being sheltered by most of the winds.

Bit slow in posting just now as BT Broadband which is handy for uploading is down and AppleNet is unusually slow in uploading photos but get there with perseverance. Pity as a lot has been going on with trips to Inverness and Fort William along with quite a few hours at the Inn….and busy there still. As well as our Broadband being slow we have a technical problem at Rona where the turbine has burnt out. Still under warranty but frustrating for the North Coast as they have waited so long for connections to have this happen.
