A view on Fishing,Community and Life on the NW coast of Scotland

The last wee trip out at 10.30pm with the dog family Dougal decides to take off and when he decides, that is that. Spent the night on the couch and checked a couple of times to see if he had turned up. No sign he was around until 9am but probably was there but unsure of his reception. He did look pathetic standing, shivering on the pavement.

But a bit of TLC,

a wee hair of the dog breakfast, and a day on the lounge about and he is already showing signs of recovery.

He is probably already coming out of the “never again” phase and planning his next jaunt.

Just back from a wee walk to Craig Darroch, the hill over looking the moorings and he is full of it again…canna win. Alison is convinced he’s a teenager.

  1. He looks a rather sad with a towel over his head.

He was pretty miserable this morning but the spaniel kicked in and after an hour he was under way again. I have to say I do like him.

  2. Yes spaniels have a rather large appetite for life, at least when they are young. I sadly lost mine yesterday, he was 15 and had lived a good life.

That is not good. We inherited a lovely spaniel called Talisker who died of kidney failure and was surprised how much he meant to us.

  3. Yes ours had kidney failure. He was peaceful in the end.
