A view on Fishing,Community and Life on the NW coast of Scotland

Had a wee thought, they can be dangerous I know, when I started noticing the beautiful bridges scattered every where you drive. I do not generally have top ten lists but if I had a top ten films two would be A River Runs Through It and Bridges of Madison County. Some of the bridges are more obvious than others and some are now unused through road upgrades. After chatting to Andy this thought came up for discussion and on the way home I started taking a few snaps between the Skye Bridge and home.

I went the back road from Duirnish to Achmore as I had wanted to photograph the stunning bridge at Duirnish and then noticed another at Craig.

I stopped at a passing place just along from it and nipped down to discover a lovely work of art. Driven over this many times and did not know it existed.

It was on to Tornapress where there is an old bridge beside the double track.

From there it was just along the road and finally below the Keoch Nose.

The one at the Snowblower Shed is another fine one but unfortunately is reinforced now with rusty girders and this does take something away from it.
